When looking for an efficient and clean source of energy
we need to look no further than the earth itself because
the ground acts like a giant heat storage battery.
Think about it: during the daytime the sun heats the
ground and the earth retains this heat. In fact, in
the northeastern regions of the US just a few feet
below the surface the ground is always about 53 F.
This ground heat is called geothermal energy; it’s
an unending source of clean and renewable power. And
the good news is that its now possible for us to tap
that energy to heat and cool our buildings.
Total Green™ Geothermal Comfort Systems use a
non-invasive Direct Exchange piping system buried in
the ground alongside your building. This piping system
takes heat from the ground and transfers it to the
TotalGreen Geothermal heat pump in the bottom floor
of your building. The heat pump then extracts the heat
and pushes it through your existing HVAC system. In
warmer months the process is reversed and the pump
transfers heat from your home into the ground—leaving
you comfortably cool.
Total Green™ Geothermal is efficient, cost effective
and doesn’t contribute to greenhouse gases or
tap dwindling fossil fuels.
